Choose a utility by what you are preparing for
This page has 5 utilities for job seekers and 5 utilities for employers. Job seekers use the first group to understand their strengths, tailor their CV to each job post and practise for interviews; employers use the second group to write job posts, check them before publishing and prepare interviews.
For job seekers
The first three utilities help you take stock of yourself while you are still deciding on a direction. The other two are for when you have a specific job post in hand.

For employers
The employer utilities follow the order in which you fill a position, from writing the job post to telling candidates the outcome:
- Write the job postUse Job description templates: pick the industry and level to get a ready-made description, requirements and benefits, then edit them to fit the position at your company.
- Check the post before publishingPaste the text into the Job post checker to find the problems that get posts rejected or bring in few applicants.
- Prepare the interviewUse Interview question sets to pick questions by group, each with its purpose stated, and the Interview scorecard to print a scoring sheet so the whole panel scores against the same criteria.
- Contact candidatesUse Candidate email templates for ready-made interview invitations and outcome emails; just fill in the candidate details and the position.
Frequently asked questions
No. The utilities are free and work straight away in your browser, without signing in.
They should not be used to screen out candidates. Self-assessment test results only reflect how a person sees themselves; they do not measure how well someone does the job.
